Walking empowers women around the world. A woman in Rwanda walks to offer compassion and basic care to people living with HIV/AIDS. In Malawi, a woman walks to a training session where she is equipped with the knowledge of how to best care for her growing children. Sudanese women walk for clean water to ensure their families stay healthy. A woman in Cambodia walks to the local market to sell her wares to gain and expand her livelihood. Across the developing world, women walk to get firewood to cook for their children, ensuring proper nutrition and development. In the United States, women walk to lose weight and stay fit. They walk to catch the bus to work. They walk their children to school. Walking gives women confidence, it enables them to provide for themselves and their families, and gives women around the world a common bond.

As you become familiar with particular women across the world, pray for them as you walk, lift up their families and the work that they do to enable World Relief programs to prosper. As you partner with women across the globe walking towards empowerment, you will, perhaps, find your walking time needs to be extended to accommodate your prayers. |

As you meet and pass goals, share your resources with the poor and suffering around the world, ensuring that they can continue to walk to meet the needs of their families and communities.
