God Loves Refugees
Throughout the Bible, we read how God wants us to treat refugees - - the strangers and sojourners in our midst. God makes it clear that He takes extraordinary interest in refugees and He expects His people to do the same.
"Do not deprive the alien or the fatherless of justice...remember that you were slaves in Egypt and the Lord your God redeemed you from there. That is why I command you to do this."
Deuteronomy 24:17-18
"The stranger/alien (refugee) who sojourns with you in your land shall be to you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself." Leviticus 19:34
"Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." Hebrews 13:2
"Then the King will say to those at his right hand, 'Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world... for I was a stranger and you welcomed me.'" Matthew 25:34-35
"When you are harvesting in your field and you overlook a sheaf, do not go back to get it. Leave it for the alien, the fatherless and the widow, so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands. When you beat the olives from your trees, do not go over the branches a second time. Leave what remains for the alien, the fatherless and the widow. When you harvest the grapes in your vineyard, do not go over the vines again. Leave what remains for the alien, the fatherless and the widow." Deuteronomy 24:19-22

- Answer their Prayers...Is. 58:6-11
- Deliver, Protect, Restore, and Sustain them...Ps. 41:1-3

- Not Answer the Prayers of Those who Refuse to Help Refugees...Prov. 21:13
